An evening (sort of) based on Anton Chekhov’s stupid fucking play, The Seagull, set in our 21st century America. A young theatre artist tries to create a new form of theatre, to revolt against his mother, her generation, and their old ideas of art. Everyone’s in love with someone who loves someone else. Past vs. present, young vs. old, and the burning desire for love and to be loved. Explore with us the need to create and share stories, as we figure out why the hell do we even go to the theatre in the first place? How did we get here? All of these battles and questions, paired with and fueled by, the disappointments of love, art, and growing up. Aaahhh, life.
