A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM THE GARAGE THEATRE

Hello Friends!

Like you, we have spent the majority of this year barely holding on, just trying to figure out what happens next. Words can't even begin to describe how much we miss making our unique brand of theatrical magic with you, and for you. We have always considered ourselves a reflection of who you are, giving you a place to be and belong. Without you, there is no us. And as you know, our doors have been closed, and the magic has been locked away since March. This year was supposed to be our 20th Anniversary Season together, a season to celebrate and deepen our connection with you, the best audience we could ever have asked for. Having you in our seats, and then dancing the night away with you is the best feeling in the world, and has given each and every one of us so much joy over the years. Although we remain optimistic about reopening and restarting in 2021, we're going to need your help to get there. Now more than ever.

Being unable to produce anything for an entire year has left us running on empty, emotionally, physically, and now financially. Our special little black box theatre on the corner of 7th and Long Beach Blvd. is in danger of being taken away from us. Since our first show there, way back in 2005, it has become so much more than "just" a theatre. We've shed blood, sweat and tears, moved earth, wind and fire, and poured our souls into all that it is, and all that we do. And you have done the same, and been through it all, right there with us. We've shared so many laughs, had a few beers, and even shed a few tears together. We can't just let that go. And so, we have just begun a monumental year-end effort to save our space. 

Simply put, we need to raise $10,000 to keep our doors open in 2021. 

We can do it. But we need your help. In a time where every day seems to bring us new information about the things we can't do, places that we can't go, and the people we can't see. We want to give you something that you CAN do. You CAN help us save our space. You CAN help keep our humble home away from home alive in 2021 and truly give back to your community. Yes, we CAN!

And speaking of CANS, and in a throwback to our OG coffee can lights, we have partnered with WELabs & Michigan Brothers Beverage Company to give back to you a little something, something. It's our very own Black Box Brew, cold-brewed, special edition Garage Theatre cans of coffee to keep you moving and grooving, energized and awake as we head into 2021. For every $10 you donate to the cause, we will give back to you a 12 oz. special edition Garage Theatre can of Black Box Brew.  And $50 gets you a six-pack. We will even hand deliver the cans to your home or office if you're in Long Beach. It's not much, but we want to give you a little taste of what we've got to help get you through this, too. It's what we do. All donations are welcome, and are of course 100% tax-deductible. Even if it's $5. It all helps. Together we can do this. We always have. We always will.
